Strange Happenings

Since day one my left breast has been larger than my right breast. But, the stranger thing is that my right one has always been more sensitive. When I woke up in the recovery room after surgery I felt this bizarre pain in my right breast. It felt like a 30 pound brick was just hanging out on that side of my chest. As time has gone on the right side no longer feels as heavy or painful, but now it feels like my muscles around the implant are grabbing onto it tightly. When I take a deep breath it is especially noticable. My incisions are only really sore in the morning, as soon as I wake up. They just feel like any other laceration or open wound during the healing process. Now, the left breast looks a bit goofy. It is much larger than the right one. My Mom said the same thing happened to her, only the opposite breast. Her breasts are now the same size, so.... For now I'll just wait it out and hope she's right. Otherwise, I'll be a lopsided young woman. There are worse problems, aren't there?! Just Joking =)

same for me, my left one is bigger, my dr wants to use a larger implanton the right, so that I'll be more symetrical after the surgery. is that what your dr did? or use more ccs when fillling that side? i'm worried about ending up lopsided too.
Sabrina..Im enjoying your blog, Do you think you can write even more?? From what little I know about you, we sound a lot alike..and since my surgery is in less than 2 weeks I like to read about how you are progressing!
I have one question for you. My DR. said I can NEVER work my peck muscles ever again! As you know, that wont work if I want to work the opposing muscle..which of course I do! What do you think?
Hello Caryn,
Dr. Galante measured my breasts twice before surgery, but there was never any mention of compensating through cc's or a larger implant in or the other. I think that this is just the way my breasts are healing. The swelling in my right breast has been decreasing at a faster pace then my left. I do not think or at least I hope this will only be temporary.
I am happy to hear that you are enjoying the blog! I must say that writing about my experiences has been quite enjoyable and even more so when I get to talk to people like you. As far as the never being able to exercise your chest thing... I think that is CRAZY! Dr. Galante recommended training this body part less vigorously, but never said I could not train it at all. I have plenty of lady friends that also, weight train and have breast implants. They have never encountered a problem. Maybe, if a person were to become careless lifting very heavy weights there would be and should be a concern. But, once fully healed there should be no problem toning the area for symmetry - that is my full intention, anyway. I am just wondering why your Doc said never? I promise I'll keep you posted on my training progress - I've got the bug already! Good Luck and Congrats!! =)
