Sabrina's Breast Augmentation Blog

Thoughts on my breast augmentation surgery

Stripped. The story behind my breast augmentation.

Hello everyone. My name is Sabrina, I am a 25 year old woman who is about to make a huge step in my life. I will have Breast Augmentation surgery next Friday June 30th in Munster, Indiana. I am 5'1" with a petite frame and have always been small chested. The size of my chest was never really an issue for me, but I have always admired those with voluptuous nice breasts. Being pretty conservative I would never have thought in a million years that I would be having plastic surgery. I guess as that ancient proverb goes "never say never," is not bad advice after all.

I am a total health nut, but about two years ago I became really interested in competitive bodybuilding. Weight lifting is my addiction (if I must confess). With proper diet and exercise my body began to see amazing results. People that know anything about bodybuilding know the number one characteristic of a bodybuilder is symmetry. Therefore, I have also trained my chest to match the rest of my body. As a result I have little left there and the remains kind of resemble a deflated woopie cushion (really weird). My chest is like muscle, muscle, muscle, oh... what is this?!

Anyhow, my Mother has the same body type as I do and had breast augmentation surgery about a year and a half ago. She was never bothered by the fact she had small breasts either, but also joked about possibly one day having the surgery. I guess it was only a joke for so many years because of the expense, but expense was no longer an issue for her. The joke that had gone on for so long turned into reality. Prior to my Mother's experience I was very judgmental about plastic surgery and just plain ignorant. I thought that breast augmentations were for people with low self esteem, people that were desperate for attention, and those that have had to have reconstructions done after more serious issues. After my Mother's surgery and recovery I saw what an amazing difference it had made. She looks amazing in just about any article of clothing you can imagine, completely feminine, and extremely natural. It was also very exhilarating to see my Mother do something so outside her norm and if this is good for her it is absolutely good for me!

My Mother was referred to Dr. Galante by a close family friend. She has had numerous procedures done with Dr. Galante and I am positive if she had not referred my Mom she would not have gone through with the surgery. It was comforting to know someone really well and a bit about her experience beforehand. In addition, there is a huge difference between a picture of some strange person's before and after and a personal friend's before and after. After all of this there was no need to search for another Doctor. Dr. Galante is very charismatic and makes his patient's feel secure in their decisions. I also love the fact that he will not do anything that is unproportionate or not natural looking.

My daughter is also about the same frame and has surgery Monday. What size did you go with? If anyone knows what size they think she went with I would appreciate it. I don't think I would want my daughter to have that large of implants with her stature. Thanks.

I think the new girls look great! Coming from someone about the same cup size as you (before) I know what you were feeling. I like my look from the front ok, but from the side, I look deflated. I'm getting mine in October and absolutly can't wait!

I think you look great, and hope you pay no attention to the people who are sharing negative opinions here. Most of them have no idea how hard it is to make a decision like this. I have my surgery scheduled for 9/9/08 (7 days), so its great to read all about your experience :). -Lisette

Thank you for being bold, informative and uninhibited. I wish more could be like you. I just wish I could put a face with the body.
Thank you, anyway.

You didn't explain the differences in elasticity of the two breasts and how you felt on squishing them before and after.

I am almost 18 years old...and reality has struck that I don't want to be a AA for the rest of my life...I am not as petite as you but am very athletic, and I think that my exercising has essentially wiped away my chest....I am seriously considering breast augmentation...thank you for the advice...I think your before and after photos are encouraging but the only thing I notice is that you do not have clevage, which I am very nervous about...anyways thanks for all of the tips
