Recovery

My recovery went pretty smoothly, I didn't do much but rest which helped. The worst part of it for me was being so helpless! I hated every minute of the first week since I had to have help with everything I did due to keeping my arms at my side the whole week. I don't remember much pain just constant soreness. After 5 days I had my first post op appt and it went very well, I was extremely excited to see the results and find out how many cc's were used and what type of profile I had been given since I left that up to Dr. Pousti. I ended up with 616 cc's of silicone in each side and received moderate plus profile. The appt was quick and I was amazed by the results, the only thing that was bothering me was I had a bad rash from either something used in surgery or from being in the surgical bra for that long, anyway the nurse recommended that I wear a cotton tank top or t-shirt under the bra which not only helped with the rash but it was a lot more comfortable! Everything was healing nicely and I was told I could shower with help (also not fun for me since my boyfriend had to pretty much bathe me). It felt really good to be able to shower and wash the bra! after the 5th day I was up and walking a little more, I had to keep reminding myself to take it easy since I tired very easily. A week after the surgery I went shopping for some work clothes that would help hide the strap on the bra, though it was uncomfortable to try things on the staff at the store was nice enough to let my boyfriend come in the dressing room to help me out. I purchased me first bra that day a 36 D!!! Very exciting :) I did the math for the cc's I was given and it came out to about 1.25 pounds per boob! needless to say the extra weight on my chest is going to take a while to get used to lol.

Hi Mary-Wow - you look amazing! You have got to be very happy with your results! Isn't hiding the strap fun? I have a small selection of clothes that I can rotate through and even those can be hard at times. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks, only 2 more weeks to go with it! Well, you look very natural and I'm so glad your recovery is going well. When do you see Dr. Pousti again? I see him on the 20th!
