About Dr. Manuel Sanmiguel Ramos

Sanmiguel Plastic Surgery was founded by Dr. Manuel Sanmiguel Ramos in November 2000 in San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León, México.

Dr. Manuel Sanmiguel is one of the most prestigious and well known plastic surgeons in the north part of the country.

He studied medicine at the University of Nuevo León, specializing in plastic surgery at the University Hospital.

Immediately after, he migrates to the University of Alabama in Birmingham to continue his studies. After concluding his studies, he completed a fellowship in Jackson Memorial Hospital in the University of Miami where he worked with Dr. Ralph Milliard Jr,. considered to be the father of plastic surgery in the United States.

With the recommendation of Dr. Millard Jr., Dr. Manuel Sanmiguel changed his residency to California where he closely collaborated with Dr. Steven Hoefflin of UCLA with whom he realized surgeries in various cities in the state of California such as Beverly Hills, San Diego, Burbank and Los Angeles among others.

When he returned to Monterey, Dr. Manuel Sanmiguel worked at the San Francisco Medical Center until he decided to become independent, motivated by his patients’ petitions.

Dr. Manuel Sanmiguel is an active member of the Mexican Association of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery and is certified by the Mexican board of plastic surgery. He is also a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society for Aesthetic Surgery, the Northeast Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Medical College of Nuevo Leon, and the Medical Group of San Jose Hospital as well as the Medical Group of Santa Engracia Hospital.
