About Dr. Robert G. Anderson

Robert G. Anderson, MD is the medical director of the Fort Worth Plastic Surgery Center. He has completed training in two specialties and holds board certification in both Plastic Surgery and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Although his practice is largely limited to facial rejuvenation, cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, and body contouring such as tummy tucks and liposuction, he still accepts selected referrals for complex facial reconstructions, facial nerve injuries and melanomas.

Dr. Anderson is a member of numerous organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgery and the prestigious American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. He is also a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas.

Dr. Anderson completed his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. Residencies in Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery and Plastic Surgery, and a Fellowship in Otology/Neurotology/Skull Base Surgery completed his medical training.

Dr. Anderson maintains a firm commitment to patient education and the advancement of plastic surgery. He spent over five years on the full time faculty of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and has been a member of the editorial board of the Selected Readings in Plastic Surgery since 1987. He is the author of numerous scientific articles and book chapters and is a nationally recognized authority on facial nerve injuries.

Volunteering as a medical missionary in the Fiji Islands allowed Dr. Anderson almost six months to work with and train local surgeons and lecture at the University of the South Pacific. More recently he has been involved in medical missionary work in Mexico and Central America.

Dr. Anderson, his wife, Janie, and their three children have resided in the Fort Worth area since 1987.

Our comfortable waiting area provides a welcoming and pleasant environment for patients, family and friends.

An important aspect of your care relates to the quality of systems in place for insuring your safety during and after surgery. Our operating and recovery rooms are equipped to hospital standards. Registered Nurses certified in advanced Cardiac Life Support are with our patients during their stay in the recovery room. The center’s medical staff constantly aspires to meet the highest standards in patient care through continuing education and review.
